1. Thieves Oil - Young Living carries a Thieves Oil cleaner concentrate that we dilute in a spray bottle and use for cleaning almost every surface in the house: bathroom and kitchen countertops, bathtub, sinks, and more. One major benefit we found is with mold. Soaking moldy areas in Thieves for a couple hours helps eliminate the fungus among us.
2. Vinegar and Baking Soda - At our house we have hard water, REALLY hard water. After awhile the calcium and minerals builds up and covers the shower head, fills up spouts, and even lines the inside of our tea kettle. So twice a year we clean it by first soaking it in white vinegar. After 2 hours of soaking we add a pinch of baking soda and let the magic happen. The chemical reaction scrubs the surfaces and loosens the calcium deposits. Now the mineral buildup just wipes right off.
3. Lemon Oil - Simply add a couple drops of this oil (or let a bunch of lemon peels soak for a few days) to the vinegar and an even more potent cleaner is made. Plus, we get the lemon-fresh scent that is far more pleasing than vinegar.
