A recent study shows that our inner glow is reflected within the emotions that we experience. Research out of Finland has diagrammed the way particular emotions affect the energy of the physical body. The researchers conclude that emotions alter behavior and physiology and can now map those effects.
Interestingly, some of the common ways we describe emotions physically match their presence on a thermal scan. Love and Happiness show a general warming over most of the body, especially the heart. Sadness and depression actually show up as "feeling blue." The burning of anger may even be represented as the reddish-orange glow of fire.
What's even more cool, is that we detect this in others. Ever walked into a room and just knew that everyone was tense, or happy, or sad? These patterns are worn like clothing and we "read" it whenever we're around someone and feel an attraction or aversion of some sort. We may call it a "gut instinct" and what we're really noticing is how the energy coming from that person is mixing with our own.
If we're feeling beautiful, happy, grateful and loved it will radiate out of every pore and every cell of your body. Think of how a bride glows on her wedding day. Full of love, supported by her family and friends, cherished by her soon-to-be-husband. That glow is far more than fancy makeup.
So the next time you're wondering which makeup will make you look beautiful, try putting on a smile first. Fill your heart with love, think of something that makes you laugh. When you see how amazingly gorgeous you are with just that, maybe you'll recognize that maybe it's not maybelline, maybe it's YOU!
